News: Ambode clarifies EFCC’s allegation of N9.9bn reportedly traced to him

Immediate past governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, states his own position concerning the alleged N9.9 billion reportedly traced to him.
Ambode denies having any personal link with the three accounts frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently – The former governor, while giving details, sends Sallah greetings to President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Akinwunmi Ambode, immediate past governor of Lagos, has cleared the air over a statement attributed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alleging that it had frozen certain accounts linked to him.
According to Ambode, no account of his contains N9.9 billion let alone being frozen by the EFCC. He, however, added that in the spirit of Sallah and having been governor in the state with utmost dedication and integrity, his record is very clear and his mind joyful for the opportunity to have served the state diligently.
